Loch Ness DNA project may find invasive fish and a whole lot more.

A DNA project could find evidence of an invasive species of fish in Loch Ness. Scientists are taking water samples for analysis of the tiny fragments of animal skin and scales that float in the loch. They have suggested they could also find a "biological explanation" for the Loch Ness Monster.

Leading health services researcher takes professorship at university

The University of the Highlands and Islands has awarded the title of Professor to a leading researcher in health services research. Professor Gill Hubbard, who lives in Inverness, has been awarded the professorship in recognition of her expertise in leading research nationally and internationally in this field.
