Further expansion planned for Scottish Vet Referrals

The region's only vet referral service is set to expand further, increasing the size of its purpose built surgery at Inverness Campus.

Scottish Vet Referrals (SVR) has grown its business, which serves the north of Scotland, since it opened at Inverness Campus in 2017. Originally staffed by a team of three, staff numbers have now grown to 11.

The high tech veterinary service successfully applied for planning permission to extend its premises at the Campus to accommodate computerised tomography (CT scans) for clients.

This will be the first such CT scanner for animals in the region and will mean that customers will be saved from making long journeys to the central belt to access this specialist service.

When complete, the expanded building at Inverness Campus will  allow the company to provide more rounded services to its clients. Currently SVR provide ophthalmology, internal medicine and oncology services; delivering dedicated expertise with state of the art specialist equipment in a custom-designed facility.

The expansion is expected to increase the SVR team by 2 adding another vet and vet nurses post.
