Golden Bridge Construction Starts.

A Huge Piling Rig has moved onto the Campus site to prepare foundations for a new pedestrian and cycle bridge linking the Campus to the city

The Golden link designed by 7N Architects will also join the campus to the Centre for Health Sciences, Raigmore Hospital and Lifescan Scotland.

Ewan Anderson leads the 7N Architects team and is an architect and urban designer with over 20 years of experience .

Ewan was born and brought up in Edinburgh,  and has developed a studio which successfully built up a wide ranging portfolio of major projects including; masterplans for Inverness Campus, Speirs Locks, the new Royal Highland Showground and Inverness Airport Business Park, office buildings at 220 Broomielaw and Forth Ports, the new Ross Bandstand, an art hotel in the former Edinburgh Odeon, and the mixed-use Westfield development.

The Bridge will span the entire width of eight lanes of  the highway  in one dramatic sweep, clearly visible to all road users. Incredibly it is proposed to build it  off site and then for the entire structure to be lifted into place. Preparation works will continue into the autum when it is expected that this exciting engineering project will be completed in a single lift.
