The Campus

Inverness Campus will create the perfect environment for cutting edge research bodies to collaborate and innovate. The Campus will also have a major role in shaping the future of Higher education in the Highlands and Islands.

Based centrally to the Highlands and Islands the Inverness Campus has the capacity to support up to 6,000 jobs over the next 30 years, and generate more than £38m for the regional economy every year.

Inverness Campus is situated at the point where two major trunk roads into the city meet - the A9 from the south and A96 to the east. The main rail route south also runs alongside the eastern border of the Campus.

The Campus is adjacent to the Centre for Health Science. and the largest district Hospital in Scotland at  Raigmore.   Combined  with the biggest medical devices manufacturer in Scotland,  Johnson & Johnson's Lifescan Scotland  and the Maggie's Centre, Highland,  there is a strong nucleus for life sciences, learning and Research and Development.

There are more than 650 scientists, doctors and researchers already on the ground who lend significant impact and momentum to the collaborative efforts of  four universities, the NHS and the private sector.

Stoneyfield and Inverness Retail and Business Parks lie to the north east of the Campus creating a business buzz along the aptly named "A96 Golden Mile."
