Solasta House - office, lab and co-working space

Solasta House was officially opened in May 2019 and is home to a range of small technology and life sciences companies. It provides 2,300m² of space over two floors, offering office and laboratory space.

Space is available within Solasta House for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) involved in commercial activity that relates to life sciences, energy or technology sectors. Units can be leased to entrepreneurs, start-ups, pre-revenue enterprises, self-employed individuals, businesses and partnerships. An Lòchran - enterprise and research centre

An Lòchran is a prestigious, Grade-A enterprise and research centre located at the heart of Inverness Campus. 

Designed to stimulate collaboration, basing your business here provides the ideal opportunity to connect with the other occupants including HIE, UHI, Wave Energy Scotland, and our STEM Science Skills Academy. You would also be ideally placed to connect to other Campus neighbours including academics, researchers, clinicians, high-tech, life and health sciences businesses.

What's available?

We have high quality office space available in An Lòchran. The space is available in whole or part, and offers a mix of cellular and open plan offices. Take a look at our prospectus or get in touch to find out more.

A closing date has been set as 12 noon on Thursday 19 June for the ground floor (North Wing) of An Lòchran, please refer to the brochure below for details of the space. Please get in touch if you are interested.

Land for Development

A range of plots, all part of the first phase of the Campus, are currently available for sale. They're ideally suited to small and medium sized enterprises. Businesses based here will benefit from the strong collaborative ethos of the Campus and from the opportunities for research and development.

Newest to the market are eight small business plots for sale at The Village, Plot 14. This provides opportunities for small and medium sized businesses to develop their own accommodation including office and workshops.

Life Sciences Innovation Centre

Jointly developed by Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the University of the Highlands and Islands, the Life Sciences Innovation Centre offers bespoke office and laboratory space for life sciences companies alongside key research departments of the University of the Highlands and Islands. High quality shared spaces provides an inspiring location.

The centre has been supported by grants from the European Regional Development Fund and the Inverness Highland City Region Deal.

NEXUS

NEXUS - the perfect co-working space

Owned and operated by HIE, NEXUS is a co-working space based in Solasta House on Inverness Campus. It offers life sciences and technology companies excellent networking opportunities, the chance to work alongside like-minded businesses and gain access to research and academic partners.

NEXUS is a support programme delivered through the Northern Innovation Hub, designed to build on and accelerate business innovation. It is supported through the Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal.

Rural and Veterinary Innovation Centre

Scotland's Rural College's (SRUC) impressive new Rural and Veterinary Innovation Centre was officially opened in March 2024. The new building is a north of Scotland base for SRUC's expert team of epidemiologists, vets and agricultural advisers, and also has accommodation for animal health and other small rural businesses.
