Call for professional expertise to assist new development at Inverness Campus

Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is seeking professional design and planning services for a proposed new Life Sciences Innovation Centre for Inverness Campus.

This is a partnership project between HIE and the University of the Highlands and Islands to develop a shared facility.

The joint building will combine accommodation for the university’s health research, product development and innovation facilities with business space for growth companies in the life sciences, healthcare and technology sectors.

The two partners are working closely with NHS Highland, which is planning to develop an Elective Care Centre at Inverness Campus.

The new building will be situated nearby the NHS Highland development to maximise partnership and collaborative opportunities between the three organisations.

HIE and the university are inviting tenders by 2 March for design work and planning assistance, with a contract award date of end March. The contract will be worth between £200,000 -£250,000
